Excerpts from The Seventies
1975: Teenager BOB HOWE was a Public Relations & Promotions officer for Festival Records in Sydney. In between plugging records to radio stations, chaperoning visiting stars (Tina Turner, Shirley Bassey, J.J. Cale, Roy Orbison, Peter Allen) and writing Press Releases, he moonlights as a guitar player in their state of the art recording studio. There he cuts sessions with the likes of Reg Lindsay and Diana Trask. Back then, the company distributed DOT Records, Monument, Liberty, A&M, etc. |
1976: Not content with all this activity, BOB begins writing for RAM (Rock Australia Magazine), introducing their readers to LPs by SLIM DUSTY, MERLE HAGGARD, CHARLIE DANIELS BAND, WILLIE NELSON and more. READ SOME OF THAT TEXT......
